Kuala Lumpur, 25 Sept 2015 – “Asia Super Team: Team Up for Good,” the second edition of TAITRA MEET TAIWAN’s business competition designed to promote Taiwan as a top-of-mind destination for incentive travel, today announced six finalist teams at asiasuperteam.meettaiwan.com.
24 representatives from Australia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand will take part in the final leg of the philanthropic competition in Taiwan and a chance to win an incentive travel package to Taiwan worth more than USD 50,000, plus charity fund donated to the N.P.O. of champion team’s choice.
“Asia Super Team: Team Up for Good” attracted over 100 business signups across APAC region in the online contest phase. The finalists companies are AFTR from Australia, BUN Corporation from Japan, Cheon Hyo International Organization from Korea, Above Creative Events from Malaysia, Kaimay Trading from Singapore and Meeting Point Asia from Thailand, which were selected by consideration of both public voting and professional judge board of their proposals.
In the first phase, “Asia Super Team” called out to businesses to submit “good proposals”, an itinerary-like charity proposal requires the participating companies to incorporate their understanding of Taiwan MICE offerings and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities into an action plan for local cultural revivals, service to the underprivileged communities, and environmental preservation.
The final stage of competition, consisting of a five-day-four-night tour to Taiwan and a final press conference, will take place during October 12 to 16, 2015. The finalist teams will visit Taipei, Taichung, Chiayi, and Tainan for mind-blowing experience interacting with local neighborhoods, farmers and fisherman, and traditional performing artists in a Running Man style setting. These activities will require participants’ to contribute their full efforts to environmental sustainability, community services, and cultural revivals but also return with the authentic Taiwan experience—which is unexpected, warm, fun and quality.
“Asia Super Team” has been well-received throughout industries since its launch in 2014. This year, China Airlines sponsored 12 round-trip air tickets to Taipei to encourage participation in support to promote Taiwan MICE travel and encourage APAC travellers to “Meet Taiwan.” The 12 ticket winners will be selected by an automated lucky draw and announced at the final press conference on October 15, 2015.
