Named after the Latin word and chemical element representing gold, Aurum features opulent halls, contemporary continental dining from Jin Gastrobar, and bespoke hospitality and service – all of which is designed to deliver true cinematic luxury.
Following Aurum’s successful opening in The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey, Johor Bahru, the new flagship establishment sets an even higher standard in extravagant cinema experiences; upping the ante with 7 halls, a private screen for personal bookings and events, a café, and full-service concessions stand.

Most anticipated of the offerings at Aurum Theatre, The Gardens Mall are the Getha Lux Suites – two-motor luxury recliners made with the company’s trademark 100% pure natural latex foam cushioning. Exclusively crafted by famed Italian architect, Marco Fumagalli, the Getha Lux Suites boast nano-silver antibacterial covers, plush pillows that deliver excellent support, and a silky fleece blanket to snuggle under for absolute comfort. Following every movie session, the covers for the luxury recliners and pillows at the Getha Lux Suites are changed to a fresh set for the next show.
With an in-hall service call button, customers can get personalised assistance from Aurum’s hosts. Additionally, the Getha Lux Suites also come with other amenities including a side table with a personal lamp, wireless and USB charger for mobile devices, and a compartment to store one’s personal belongings. The Gardens Mall presently has two Getha Lux Suite halls, with tickets priced at RM150 per person.

Besides the Getha Lux Suites, Aurum Theatre also features two other types of halls with equally luxurious fittings. For added cosiness, it also comes with a fuzzy fleece blanket from Getha, and is equipped with a side table that swivels out towards the viewer for ease of enjoying meals, snacks, or drinks. Additionally, the Comfort Cabins also have a wireless charger, personal lamp, and a drawer for belongings, which are located on the side of each recliner.
Those seeking something different will find that no two Escape Studio auditoriums are the same, and the three available at The Gardens Mall are distinctively themed from hall-to-hall. More than just the price of a seat at the movies, all tickets to Aurum come with freshly-made food and drink from Jin Gastrobar as part of the complete experience. Dubbed the Aurum Pass, the proverbial golden ticket lets customers choose and enjoy a selection of gastronomical journeys including curated meal platters with vegetarian options and ala carte dishes. Aurum Pass holders are encouraged to visit Jin Gastrobar at least 45 minutes earlier to enjoy their food and drink before the movie.
