(SEMASA) Online Marketplace 11street Hits the Nation’s TV Screens

11street (www.11street.my), one of the largest online marketplaces recently unveiled in Malaysia, kicked off its  thematic television (TV) commercial campaign. The campaign’s main theme – “Find What You Love at 11street” – encourages Malaysian consumers to shop online.

11street’s CEO, Hoseok Kim shares that the TV commercial campaign is part of the company’s effort geared towards bringing the brand closer to Malaysian consumers.

Kim says, “We truly believe enabling local consumers to find what they love at their convenience and great prices is the only way that 11street can be their preferred online shopping destination. The TV commercials that focuses on what makes our brand special and sets our products, and services apart from other online marketplace players, clearly demonstrates our commitment to providing local consumers with an engaging and satisfying online shopping experience.”

The three episode thematic TV commercials were shot in Korea and feature a love story between two individuals who are very much into online shopping. In each episode, 11street’s unique propositions – Shocking Deals, variety, trustworthiness and price competitiveness – are demonstrated to drive the narrative as the romantic relationship blossoms. Every episode ends with the “Find What You Love at 11street”-tagline emphasising the company’s commitment.

Acclaimed director Zho Won Seock of Uranium 238, Gold winner of 2008 Korea Advertising Award, shot the videos. Producer is Kimi Kim, Zho’s International Representation Executive Producer.

11street’s Vice President of Marketing Communications, Wong Siew Lai adds, “The most exciting part of the TV commercials is the featuring of 11street’s renowned brand ambassadors – Korean superstar Lee Min Ho and Malaysia’s up and coming actress Emily Chan. Having a Korean and Malaysian celebrity appear on screen together perfectly represents what 11street stands to offer localised online shopping offering to meet the demands of Malaysian customers.”

As part of this campaign, 11street gives away bonus coupon worth up to RM1,111. Each day of the 6 week-campaign from 9am onwards, customers stand a chance of winning one or more of the three thousand 11street bonus coupons. The campaign will appear across many TV channels in Malaysia between 24th May and July 4th.

To complement the TV commercial launch, 11street will also be running a ‘Call Me Maybe’ program, whereby consumers can dial-in at +603 7890 0111 to listen to Lee Min Ho for an easy download guide of 11street’s online shopping mobile app.
