Seremban, 29 March 2019 – We are now set for that time of the year again as prominent property developer IJM Land Berhad is bringing back the highly anticipated IJM Land Half Marathon 2019 with a bang for all enthusiastic and avid runners, on 4 August 2019 at Dataran Centrio, Seremban 2.
Captivating the interest of the nation for eight consecutive years, IJM Land is determine to make a successful comeback, targeting 10,000 runners this year. IJM Land not only aims to attract Malaysians but runners from all around the world, encouraging fitness amongst the community and raising awareness of healthy living by taking them on a competitive, adrenaline-filled race.
Elaborating on this year’s half marathon, Dato’ Hoo Kim See, Senior General Manager (Central Region) of IJM Land Berhad said that IJM Land Half Marathon 2019 is the perfect platform to create awareness on the adoption of healthy and active lifestyle for the public, motivating them to take better care of themselves and not be left behind.
“Every year we look forward to organising the IJM Land Half Marathon, as we see runners step out of their comfort zone, pushing themselves to the limits, breaking their own barriers and challenging one another in this exciting adventure,” said Dato’ Hoo.
Since 2012, IJM Land has dedicated every occasion to bring the community together as reflected in the tagline: ‘Run Together, Bond Stronger’ – running towards a positive lifestyle. With the aim to create great sporting moments, IJM Land has received endless support and involvement amongst Malaysians and international runners in their pursuit of pushing their own boundaries and running towards a worthy cause.
For the fourth year in a row, funds raised from the IJM Land Half Marathon 2019 will be channelled towards two charities, namely the Pertubuhan Hospice Negeri Sembilan (Hospice) and Malaysia Lysosomal Diseases Association (MLDA). IJM Land believes everyone deserves the best without exemption and recognises the crucial roles in which each of these organisations play, therefore improving lives in the slightest way possible.
“Running for a good cause gives a feeling of satisfaction in partaking and adds to a more meaningful purpose in the sport. We pledge to donate RM5 from every registration fees at IJM Land Half Marathon 2019 to both charities,” added Dato’ Hoo.

IJM Land Half Marathon 2019 will include categories of 21KM (Half Marathon) and 12KM for both women and men aged 18 years and above and for girls and boys junior aged 13 years and above, as well as 5KM fun run for individuals 18 years and above. Celebrity TV Host and News Presenter, Owen Yap joins this year’s half marathon to run alongside participants while cheering and motivating them as they take every step towards the finishing line.
Not to forget, this coveted run will also announce the fastest man and woman of the 21KM race, who will be in the running to receive the grand IJM Land Half Marathon Challenge Trophy. With the objective of celebrating the runners’ greatest running moments, the unique Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the man and woman who come out tops in their respective categories for three years, with 2019 being its fourth year.
Qualifying participants (who have completed the race) regardless of their category will
also be taking home a finisher medal along with goodie bags. Attractive lucky draw prizes worth RM30,000 are also up for grabs. Runners who complete the 21KM race will be entitled to a custom-made Ultron Full Sublimation Finisher Tee.
