Dani Maia was born and raised in the small town of Formiga, Minas Gerais, Brazil. She began modeling at the age of 14 after entering a ‘model search’ competition, when a renowned agency signed the young beauty to their label. After completing high school, Dani moved to the fashion capital of São Paulo to pursue her modeling career further. Soon after, she was met with the opportunity to travel and work as an international model. This saw Dani venture from the comfort of her homeland of Brazil to numerous locations such as Dubai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, China,Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore, to name a few.
Today Dani is based in Kuala Lumpur and works as a freelance model for many local and internationally acclaimed designers and brands such as Gucci, P&O Cruise Italy, Omega Watches, Carven Ong, Mouawad Jewelery, Malaysia Tourism, Cosway, Head and Shoulders Shampoo, Wacoal and Triumph Lingerie. In 2011 Dani established her own business, Dani Maia Brazil, importing a range of unique and exclusive products from Brazil to South East Asia. The range includes a variety of high quality female swim and beachwear for adults and children, as well as a line of fashionable accessories, all personally selected byDani Maia herself.
