Based on the concept of ‘New Urban Adventure’, the Honda ADV350 is the ultimate pick for riders who seek weekend adventures while cruising urban and city streets. Recording its peak power at 21.5kW @ 7,500rpm, that is matched to 31.8Nm torque @ 5,250rpm, this SOHC four-valve engine bike equipped with enhanced Smart Power Plus (eSP+) technology produces high environmental performance and strong output characteristics, making it one of the best scooters to cruise around the city for a mid to long daily commute.
One of the highlights of ADV350 as a city adventurer is the front suspension as it is suspended by a top bridge and bottom bridge in a 125mm-stroke inverted style that produces the longest stroke in the class1. The rear suspension is a 130mm-wheel travel rear suspension with a pressurized sub-tank has been adopted for generating stable damping force offering a premium* ride comfort on bumpy city streets.
Complementing its high-performance suspensions are the 15-inch front/14-inch rear, X-shaped 6-spoke crisscross pattern and all-round agility; 120/70-15 front, and 140/70-14 rear tubeless tires, and two-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) for a smooth, no-fuss ride.
Securing riders’ confidence in braking are the Φ256 front and Φ240 rear brake discs and two channel Anti-Locking Braking System (ABS) which controls both front and rear wheels to reduce braking pressure by monitoring the wheel speed, preventing the wheels from locking up. These two provide layers of safety and instill confidence in riders to get behind the wheel and start their city and adventurous journey.
The Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) technology is new to the ADV series that operates (and self-cancels) the rear indicators during a hard stop situation, alerting road users behind. Additionally, as per its bigger brother, the ADV350 features two-level HSTC to detect any difference between the front and rear wheel speeds, calculates the slip ratio and then controls engine torque via the fuel injection to regain rear wheel traction. This feature is useful in tough terrains such as off-road, muddy roads and sandy areas as it will give a peace of mind for riders on weekend adventures. Luckily, this feature is available to be switched on or off based on riders’ preference by a simple switch located at the left handlebar.
These features and technology are packed in a lightweight tubular steel frame, 37mm USD forks (with 125mm stroke), with top and bottom motorcycle style yokes, and remote reservoir rear shocks deliver agile handling and natural control. With a seat height of 795mm, this beast is easy to tame and does not disappoint its riders and passengers as it offers a 48-litres under seat compartment that fits two full-faced helmets, super convenient for a couple or convoy getaways.
