Kuala Lumpur, 19 September 2016 – Malaysia’s leading IT, electrical and furniture retailer, Courts has just announced the line-up of four brand new store openings, which will bring its total store portfolio size to 66 stores across the country. With a total of two store openings in September, and two more in the pipeline for Q3, Courts Malaysia is reiterating its commitment to growing its store footprint to 70 stores by the end of the financial year ending 31 March 2017.
Courts Jitra in Kedah opened on 1 September, and Courts Bandar Riyal in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak, opened on 9 September. Two more stores in Perak and Kota Bharu are anticipated to be opened in Q3 2016.
The new stores feature an optimised store format for an enhanced shopping experience, as well as an upsized mix of merchandise spanning digital and electrical appliances, bedding and home furniture. Mr Tim Luce, Group Chief Operating Officer, Courts Asia, and Acting Chief Executive Officer, Courts Malaysia, remains confident that Courts will continue to offer customers unique shopping experiences, the best value, and the widest range of home and lifestyle products under one roof.

Courts Malaysia is well on track to expanding our store footprint to 70 stores by the end of this financial year, and meeting the diverse needs of customers across all regions of the country. In celebration of the opening of its new stores, Courts is offering cash discounts of up to 90 per cent and opening special deals starting from RM1 onwards. The opening promotions are valid for two weeks at the Courts Bandar Riyal and Jitra stores.
As part of its commitment to providing a strong multichannel shopping experience, Courts Malaysia is also gearing up towards the relaunch of its online store in the month of October.
