KUALA LUMPUR, 31 January 2024 – Hilton Kuala Lumpur’s renowned dining destination, Vasco’s, is proud to unveil its much-anticipated Ramadan buffet under the theme “Merentasi Tradisi, Sajian Dulu dan Kini”. The halal-certified outlet is set to welcome guests to enjoy the Ramadan buffet from 11 March – 9 April 2024. As part of a national campaign by Hilton properties in Malaysia, this initiative seamlessly bridges the gap between age-old traditional recipes and contemporary, trending culinary creations. Designed to foster a sense of unity and connection across generations, and with a strong ESG commitment, the campaign celebrates the diverse culinary traditions within the community while being kind to the environment.

Campaign Objectives:

Educating Through Culinary Insights: To provide insights to the historical significance of traditional Ramadan dishes while introducing the audience to the latest trends, educating them about the evolution of Ramadan cuisine.

Celebrating Diversity and Inclusivity: The campaign strives to authentically capture the diverse culinary traditions within the community, foster inclusivity and celebrate the abundance of flavors and evolution of the Malaysian culinary scene.

ESG Commitment: At the core of our initiative is a steadfast commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) values, achieved through the responsible sourcing of ingredients, dedicated support for local businesses, and a comprehensive waste management strategy. We prioritize sustainable practices throughout hotel operations in ensuring that waste is minimized, and actively seek eco-friendly solutions to contribute to a healthier planet and community.

Our chefs will faithfully record daily data into LightStay, a system developed to calculate and analyze sustainability performance throughout our hotel operations. Our Ramadan buffet features 70% locally sourced ingredients, with a commitment to minimizing single-use plastic throughout the production and buffet line. Additionally, we work with Vision Waste Disposal Sdn Bhd to ensure that our biodegradable waste is collected and produced into biogas to generate renewable energy. Behavioral interventions with our team members and suppliers further enhance our dedication to sustainability. This comprehensive approach reflects our dedication to a sustainable and mindful celebration for the present and generations to come” she added.

Diners can enjoy early bird offers of Buy 3 Free 1 (Dine-in dates: 11-17 March and 6- 9 April) and Buy 5 Free 1 (Dine-in dates: 18 March -5 April.
