Kuala Lumpur, 14 March 2017 – Established in 1987, leading electrical, IT, and furniture retailer, Courts Malaysia is a household name to Malaysian families, well-known for its variety of home necessities and products at affordable prices. To commemorate its 30th anniversary, Courts today kicked-off its birthday campaign, Meraikan Hidup Senang (Celebrating Better Living) at its flagship store in Setapak with a celebration preceding a host of activities planned for the coming months.
This includes in-store deals and promotions in Courts stores across the country, as well as other exciting initiatives such as the retailer’s first-ever Family Fun Walk in August. As part of its anniversary celebrations, Courts also continues to give back to the underprivileged under its Rumah Amal Courts programme, and will be visiting over 30 homes in three days to donate over RM150,000 worth of home furnishing products.
More than that, Courts remains committed to its expansion in Malaysia, and is investing a total of RM10-RM15 million for over 10 store expansions and refurbishments in the new financial year starting April 2017. This falls in line with its plans to provide a value-added customer shopping experience, as it grows aspects of the business including its online platform, and Flexi financing options.

In conjunction with its 30th anniversary, Courts is also reaffirming its commitment to value with the launch of its “Everyday Low Price” campaign ‘Harga Rendah Hari-Hari. Telling the Courts story in a different light
At the event, Courts also debuted its latest TV commercial, Buang, exclusively for its 30th anniversary. In Buang, viewers are taken on a short emotional trip through a heart-warming story about a family and their imminent move to a new home, which eventually ends on a happy note.
For the first time ever, Courts also unveiled a theme song, Konfeti by singer-songwriter, Liyana Fizi, which features a music video that pays a visit to some of the milestone moments when Courts has made a difference in Malaysians’ lives.
