Eddie Peng “tortured” by the director
There has always been a rumour in the film industry, that Dante Lam’s films are very taxing for the actors. Eddie Peng got himself a first-hand experience on how challenging it can be. In an interview, he shared that:”In order to get a perfectly muscular body, I had to endure 3 months of brutal training which only left me with 3% of body fat.” However, director Dante Lam stressed that the movie << UNBEATABLE >> is not just about muscles and action, but there are quite a bit of drama and human emotion involved. He adds “This is the film I’m most product of in my career as a director”.
In the film <<UNBEATABLE >>, Nick Cheung plays an ex-MMA (Mixed Martial Art) champion who has fallen to shams and is also waist high in debt. Eddie Peng plays a character that was born into a rich family, but yet is reduced to working in a construction site. Apart from that, Nick Cheung’s character has to deal with a mentally ill single mother, and with a daughter that forms a pseudo “father-and-daughter” relationship that touches the hearts of audiences.
