All Malaysians can now enjoy Capture, a new mobile app and service to save and back up their precious memories into the cloud, for free.
Capture allows users to save and back up photos and videos from their devices automatically to protect them in case they lose their phone or need to transfer them when buying a new device. It also acts as additional storage, particularly for entry level devices with lesser space.
Photos and videos can be organized and shared in folders as Stories. The service is available on iOS, Android and even desktop web browsers.
Non-Digi customers can download and use Capture for free and get 2GB storage space at no cost. Digi customers, meanwhile, get to enjoy 30GB storage space and zero internet charges for all uploads and downloads via the app. This means Digi customers can free up space from their devices anytime, anywhere without having to look for a WiFi hotspot. Digi Postpaid customers on SmartPlan 108 and above are entitled to 100GB of space.
“Today the phone is the primary camera for most smartphone users and most of us capture precious moments of family and friends every day. Capture allows Malaysians to take photos and videos without worrying about losing these memories and Digi customers can even do so without worrying about data charges. With today’s high definition photos and video recordings, our smartphones and tablets quickly run out of storage space. Having Capture means we no longer have to worry about that,” said Christian Thrane, Digi’s Chief Marketing Officer.
“At Digi, and Telenor Group, we want to empower people to do more through content creation and internet connectivity. With this exciting service from Telenor Digital, it is more convenient for our customers to create connections and inspire others with their photos and videos,” Thrane added.
Digi customers can SMS “Capture” to 20000 to receive instructions on downloading the app and activating the service. For more information on Capture, visit digi.my/capture.
