Kuala Lumpur, 10 August 2016 – In conjunction with the Hari Raya festivities last month, Courts Malaysia – one of the nation’s leading electrical, IT and furniture retailers – hosted  its first-ever ‘Raya Cash Grab’ contest from 15 May to 30 June 2016.

The contest, which was part of its Hari Raya Aidilfitri campaign Cepat Raya, Memang Senang, offered customers who made a minimum purchase of RM1,000 or more a chance to be in the running for cash prizes totalling up to RM500,000.

From over 5,000 entries received, 100 customers were shortlisted to walk away with RM5,000 cash back and an opportunity to win more cash through the customised Courts Cash Grab Machine, which was placed throughout six Courts stores in Kuching, Inanam, Johor Bahru, Ipoh, Kota Bahru and Setapak for a special Hari Raya Open House event.

On the day of the event at the respective venues, Courts also opened the opportunity for Homeclub owners who had purchased a minimum of RM1,599 and above.

Zurina Da’ail, who walked away with RM 1,000 from the contest said, “I am thrilled to have been chosen as one of the winners. With this cash prize, Courts has given me another opportunity to re-decorate my home.”

The Hari Raya Open House celebrations were a success, enabling Courts to further connect with their customers. The contest rewarded over 90 winners with cash prizes up to RM125,000 from the customized Cash Grab Machine, with one lucky customer from Courts Larkin in Johor Bahru taking home the highest amount at a total of RM3,750.
