KUALA LUMPUR, 26th April 2019- In conjunction with the birthstone of April, Habib celebrates its 20th year of Diamond Festival with the campaign themed “Nature’s Gift”, highlighting diamonds as an ultimate gift from Mother Nature. Habib, the celebrated local jeweller believes that just like a diamond, an empowered woman is powerful beyond measure and beautiful beyond description. In line with this year’s campaign, Habib focuses on meeting the needs of women who want to buy jewellery for themselves.
Each year in April, Habib’s Diamond Festival provides an opportunity to showcase its latest diamond collections and a chance for customers to enjoy great value. In keeping with a key Habib philosophy that ‘an informed buyer is a satisfied one’, this month-long event is to educate customers and first-timers so they can make informed purchases.
“In recent years, the popularity of Habib designs has been gaining ground among the younger set. These are the new wave of women who are working hard, opiniated and very decisive on what they want. We feel that this year we should introduce diamonds to them in its truest form, which is simply, a gift from Mother Nature”, said Dato’ Sri Meer Habib, Managing Director of Habib Group.
Also present during the media event held at Habib Ampang showroom, is the current Miss Universe Malaysia 2019, Miss Shweta Sekhon who has been avid fan of diamonds since forever. In her own words, “I personally think that the jewellery industry should now regard the new generation seriously as diamond buyers and collectors and how we have the purchasing power that ultimately empowers us regardless of our age. I am so glad that for every Diamond Festival by Habib, people will be able to learn more about diamonds and how Habib’s diamonds are at its finest quality.”
The world has grown to desire and appreciate high-quality diamonds; be it white diamonds or coloured diamonds. Habib’s ethically sourced diamonds give a special boost of confidence and a sense of empowerment to their customers as they are able to recognize and meet the needs of the customers in their search for gems and diamonds of the highest quality.
What is so important for this year’s campaign is that Habib really focuses on empowering and liberating women by sourcing and selling only natural and genuine materials in their collections. “We are committed in ensuring that we can provide a wide range of choices for our customers. The very fact that Habib manufactures its own jewellery is one of the reasons why we are able to produce with such price points.”
“Jewellery remains a deeply conventional industry in which traditionally women are gifted with it by man. We want to change that. That is why educating our women customers is vital so that
They can purchase whatever they like for themselves with confidence. We want to educate everyone to rethink this stone’s symbolic meaning by transitioning it from that of love and union to one of female strength and empowerment.” added Dato Sri Meer Habib. Some of the new collection presented during the press event includes the Swan Lake Diamond collection which was heavily inspired by the Russian ballet piece of the same name.
“In essence, we want people to remember and celebrate diamonds as the birthstone for the month of April. And we hope that over time, whenever April draws near, it will trigger an instinctive gravitation to buying diamonds, and, of course, visiting a Habib showroom.” Dato’ Sri Meer Habib concludes.
For this year’s Diamond Festival, Habib has curated very special promotions until the end of April which includes up to 70% off on diamond and gemstone jewellery and RM8 off per gramme for 916 and 999 gold. In addition to that, customers will receive a free gift for every purchase of RM2000 and above in a single receipt.
