The Search is now on for potential stunt performers in Malaysia to perform in STUNT LEGENDS car & bike ‘live’ stunt show! Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS) is offering eligible Malaysians the ‘once in the lifetime’ opportunity to be trained by acclaimed Professional Stunt Trainer Cameron Ambridge who can be seen in Mad Max: Fury Road and is currently working with Johnny Depp in the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
Dubbed as the first car & bike ‘live’ stunt show in South-East Asia, STUNT LEGENDS will be the feature attractions at MAPS and a ‘must-see’ show for everyone who visits the theme park. STUNT LEGENDS will showcase 4 stunt cars, 2 stunt motorbikes and a cast of extreme stunt men and women performing thrilling stunts, precision driving and stunt riding in a 30-minute adrenaline-pumping show packed with special effects inside a 2,000-seat custom-built arena.
“What is unique about this stunt show is that all stunt performers will be Malaysian and trained by one of the best car and bike specialists in the stunt industry”, says show producer Mark Eady.
To assist in the training and recruitment process, MAPS is now giving the opportunity to all Malaysians who may be interested in forging a career as a professional Stunt Performer to participate in the inaugural MAPS stunt training academy. The academy aims to train Malaysian youths in the relevant basic stunt skills required to work in a stunt show.
The Stunt Training Academy will be running from 12 September 2015 to 18 October 2015 over 6 consecutive weekends. The training is open for all interested Malaysians between the ages of 17 to 35 (male and female) who are keen to be employed as a MAPS STUNT LEGENDS performer, subject to selection criteria and interview. Up to 120 participants will be selected to take part in the stunt training program led by industry specialists where they would acquire essential skills and knowledge of stunt performance.
Only 50 participants will be shortlisted from the Stunt Training Academy and invited to “audition” for the Stunt Legends Stunt Team under the supervision of Australian show producer Mark Eady who has over 20 years international show experience.
Essentially, only the very best applicants will be awarded full-time employment contracts in MAPS and the opportunity of truly “living their dreams” as a STUNT LEGEND performer, delivering awe-inspiring moments for the very first car & bike ‘live’ stunt show in South-East Asia.
