Lotus Cars Malaysia is proud to welcome the arrival of the Emeya, and bookings is now open for Lotus’ very first electric Hyper-GT (Grand Tourer) which will be available in three distinct variants – the Emeya, Emeya S and Emeya R – and priced from RM575,000.
While still to be officially launched, the Emeya will be available for an exclusive preview at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur from 30 July to 4 August. The Emeya draws on 75 years of the company’s rich and decorated heritage in motorsports, innovation and the ability to provide pure driving enjoyment. It sets out to redefine the already spirited personality of a Lotus and sets new standards in the GT segment for ride and handling excellence.
Power and precision in the Emeya comes in the form of an advanced two-speed transmission and high-power dual-motor configuration that works in tandem with race-grade braking system to deliver a thrilling performance truly ‘For The Drivers’. The top specification Emeya is capable of delivering a top speed of more than 250km/h and can accelerate from 0-100km/h in under 2.78 seconds, placing it in the exclusive realm of being one of the fastest electric GTs in the world.
The Emeya is designed and engineered with a host of advanced active and innovative aerodynamic features to firmly establish class-leading levels of downforce, underlining signature traits that have propelled Lotus to success on race circuits around the world. The design and features, combined with a low centre of gravity, gives the Emeya what is defined as a ‘hyperstance’ for outstanding overall stability and setting new standards in the GT segment for ride and handling.
Aerodynamics includes the use of an active front grille – first seen on the Eletre Hyper-SUV – which reduces drag, increases the car’s efficiency (when closed) and cools the batteries and the braking system (when opened); an active air dam that increases downforce at high speeds, improving handling and stability; an active motorsports-inspired rear diffuser that is central to smoothening airflow beneath the car for aerodynamic efficiency as well as stability and handling; and an industry-leading dual-layer active rear spoiler that offers a net downforce of more than 215kg for outstanding stability and handling at higher speeds.
When connected to a rapid 350kW DC charger, the Emeya can extend its range by 150 km with just a five-minute charge, and has the capability to boost its range from 10% to 80% on an 18-minute charge. It has a maximum WLTP driving of between 490km and 600km depending on the variant.
Fully-equipped with intelligent and advanced technology features that aid in a safer and assured drive, the Emeya gives drivers all the necessary tools to maximize the thrills of driving a Lotus. This includes real-time road information with navigation; Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) data that displays turn signals, obstacle warnings, lane departure, forward collision alerts and blind-spot monitoring; and the ability to quickly access crucial information using an industry leading 55-inch projected augmented reality (AR) head-up display (HUD).
