The Malaysian round of the 2025 Autobacs SUPER GT race from 27-28 June at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit promises not only thundering on track action by Japan’s top manufacturers, cars and drivers but also a Festival of epic proportions with the showcasing of a Japanese food and cultural extravaganza, as well as the running of the inaugural GR86 Cup Series Malaysia 2025 Series.
Announcing this today, HARO Sports & Entertainment as the rights holder and promoter for the Malaysian round of the SUPER GT, assures fans of a unique and highly-charged racing weekend for fans and their family with equal excitement on and off the track.
“SUPER GT continues to be known for its carnival-like atmosphere. It is one of few international events that allow fans to get right up close and personal with their favourite drivers, teams and cars, It is an event of immense colour and character offering diverse activities from open pit sessions, pit walks, grid walks and circuit safaris to a diverse display of sales and merchandise booths. This year’s SUPER GT Malaysia Festival 2025 will also see an exciting and thematic celebration of Japanese cultural themes,” said HARO Sports & Entertainment Managing Partner Fahrizal Hasan.
In partnership with Nihon Matsuri – an annual celebration of Japanese cultural themes held annually by Trumpet International and also regarded as the largest Japanese food and culture festival in Malaysia – fans will also be able to immerse themselves with the many different thematic and vibrant Japanese culture, activities, and Japanese as well as Japanese inspired street cuisine. Nihon Matsuri has clocked over 100,000 visitors over its three year existence drawing a diverse crowd ranging from Japanese cultural enthusiasts, foodies, anime and manga fans as well as international visitors.
The partnership agreement to co-organize the SUPER GT Malaysia Festival 2025 was today concluded between HARO Sports & Entertainment and Independent Non-Executive Chairman of XOX Network Berhad, the Holding Company of Trumpet International YM Tengku Ezuan Ismara Bin Tengku Nun Ahmad.
Meanwhile, tickets for the Malaysian round of the 2025 Autobacs SUPER GT race will also officially go on sale from today (27 Feb). Valid for a limited time only, early bird ticket prices for the Malaysian round of the 2025 Autobacs SUPER GT race are priced at RM80 for the K1 Grandstand; RM200 for the Main Grandstand; and RM2,000 for the GT Club Paddock Hospitality lounge.

To spice things up even more, fans can also look forward to the running of the very first GR86 Cup Series Malaysia 2025 race that will be held in conjunction with the SUPER GT Malaysia 2025 race weekend.
This inaugural race will see 30 of the latest race-equipped GR86 cars in action and will be followed by 3 more rounds throughout the year, all to be held at Petronas Sepang International Circuit.
The Autobacs SUPER GT returns to Malaysia after an absence of 12 years and will be staged for three years following the signing of an agreement between HARO Sports & Entertainment as the rights holder and promoter for the Malaysian round of the SUPER GT and the GT Association (GTA) as the rights holders for SUPER GT.
The Malaysian round of the 2025 Autobacs SUPER GT race will be run over a distance of 300km and will be the third round of the 2025 race calendar which features a total of eight rounds – seven of which will take place in various circuits within Japan. Malaysia will remain as the ONLY overseas race for Super GT.
The opening round will be held at the Okayama International Circuit on 13 April followed by Round 2 at Fuji Speedway on 4 May and Round 3 in Malaysia. Round 4 will again be held at Fuji Speedway on 3 August before moving to the Suzuka Circuit for Round 5 on 24 August. The final three rounds will be held at Sportsland Sugo on 21 September; the Autopolis International Racing Course on 19 October and Mobility Resort Montegi on 2 November.
SUPER GT features the top manufacturers and drivers from Japan competing in the GT500 and GT300 Classes, attracting the best of Japanese manufacturers the likes of Nissan, Lexus, Toyota, Honda and Subaru, as well as continental marques that include Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari and BMW.
