Calling all motorsports fans in the Klang Valley and surrounding areas! Sepang International Circuit (SIC)’s SIC Zoomers is making its last weekend trip from 10 to 12 July – offering exciting goodies in conjunction with the eni FIM Superbike World Championship 2015 (WSBK) Malaysian Round from 31 July to 2 August 2015. Over the past two weekends, motorsports fans in the Klang Valley and as far as Johor and Melaka have been enjoying discounted tickets, giveaways, a sponsored ‘sahur’, and best of all, the WSBK Wheelie Challenge that offers a stylish Benelli TNT 600 GP Edition worth RM32,000 as the prize at the final – to be held during the race weekend.
“The SIC Zoomers will be making stops at popular shopping and eating places from late evening after Iftar onwards and into the wee hours, calling on everyone to ‘sahur’ with the Zoomers. For those who wish to attempt the WSBK Wheelie Challenge, this weekend will be the last opportunity to catch the Zoomers. During the roadshow, fans will be able to get their hands on WSBK tickets at 50% discount and purchase exclusive merchandise not found elsewhere,” said SIC Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Razlan Razali. To qualify for the finals of the WSBK Wheelie Challenge, participants are required to perform their longest wheelie on the static wheelie machine.
The WSBK SIC Zoomers programme ran during two previous weekends from 26 June onwards. During the final weekend between 10 and 12 July, the Zoomers will visit selected areas in the Klang Valley and beyond. On 10 July, the Zoomers will head to Klang, Dataran Merdeka, and Uptown Danau Kota; followed by PICC Putrajaya, Awana Genting Highlands and I’Café Bikerstation Kampung Baru on 11 July; and finally close the roadshow with visits to NZ Wangsa Maju, Dataran Shah Alam and Downtown The Mines on 12 July.
On 12 July, the Zoomers will also be holding a live viewing session of the 9th round of the MotoGP from 6.00 to 9.30pm at NZ Wangsa Maju. All motor racing fans are invited to come watch the GoPro Motorrad Grand Prix held in Sachsenring, Germany. They stand to win exciting prizes worth RM1,000 in total by predicting the Top 3 winners in the MotoGP, Moto 2 and Moto 3 categories in the WeWheel Prediction Game organised by JP Moto.
Sepang hosts Round 10 of this season’s 13-leg eni FIM World Superbike Championship from 31 July to 2 August 2015. It will be the second edition to be hosted by SIC after a successful inaugural event last year – that pulled in more than 30,000 spectators for the race.
