Kuala Lumpur, 8 June 2016 – Watsons Malaysia is proud to crown Malaysia’s toughest at the grand finale of RU Tough Enough? challenge. The challenge present a battle of the sexes competition, with male and female contestants facing off against one another in a series of physically demanding and emotionally enduring challenges at the grand finale with the winner walking with the grand prize of RM30, 000!

In collaboration with KIX HD (Astro Channel 729) and Astro, goes beyond the stereotypes and run a battle of the sexes competition. “In this year’s R U Tough Enough? We are sure that this will make for an enthralling competition, as we know that toughness isn’t limited to physical strength; it is also a test of mental endurance. Celebrated radio talent and fitness enthusiast Linora Low and Malaysia’s number one hero, Keith Foo were chosen two ambassadors to emphasize on this year’s theme of “Men versus Women”. The ambassadors led #TeamLinora and #TeamKeith respectively in the challenge to determine which gender is the toughest.
The 10 finalists were selected from the audition round held in April 2016. And the toughest participants who stood a chance for a shot at glory were Dayang, Lily, Perima, Ying Ying and Michelle for #TeamLinora and Yusfi, Nash, Benny, Suphasan and Derrick for #TeamKeith.
Fitness enthusiast Linora said, “Toughness for me is more than the appearance of being physically muscular and strong. It is about challenging the norms and benchmarks set by society and myself to redefine toughness for a woman.” Keith is also a true example of toughness, having persevered through humble beginnings on the path to becoming the most sought after film actor in Malaysia. He explained, “Being tough is about setting my mind towards overcoming the challenges life throws at us on a daily basis. It is about keeping that positivity and optimism even when the going gets really tough.” Danny also welcomed Watsons participating brands representatives on stage at the prize presentation who gave away the subsidiary titles to the deserving winners. Together giving away the prizes was Caryn Loh, Chief Operating Officer, Watsons Malaysia.

The subsidiary title winners won RM500 worth of Watsons VIP points each. R U Tough Enough? finale saw Benny emerged as the winner who walked away with the Grand Prize of RM30,000 cash! Shirley presented the prize to the winner, joined by Caryn Loh and Danny Hoh, and the rest of the sponsors.
