The initiative, which takes place from now until 6 August 2017, is designed to raise awareness on the importance of leading a sustainable lifestyle around the four IKEA sustainability pillars of saving energy, conserving water, reducing & recycling waste and healthier living. Kuala Lumpur, 5 December 2016 – IKEA, the Swedish home furnishing company recently announced the launch of its new Let’s Play for Change campaign. Established by the IKEA Foundation, the campaign is a global initiative that contributes towards children’s development and learning through the sales of the IKEA Play range. For every children’s toy, book, game, art & craft and play furniture sold from now until 24 Dec 2016, the IKEA Foundation will donate €1 (approximately RM4.60) to War Child, Save the Children, UNICEF, Room to Read, Handicap International and Special Olympics to enable their projects in support of children’s development and learning around the world.
