Caltex announced the winners of the Caltex JOURNEY Card Swipe and Drive promotion that was jointly organised by Chevron Malaysia Limited and BLoyalty Sdn. Bhd. (BCARD), signaling the end of yet another successful promotion.
The promotion, which ran for an initial period of three months, from November 2014 to February 2015, was extended following the overwhelming and positive response from Caltex customers nationwide.
“We at Caltex are thrilled at the response generated from the Caltex JOURNEY Card loyalty programme and the Swipe and Drive promotion. We take great satisfaction in the fact that we are able to reward our loyal customers and add value to their visit to any Caltex station. Our customers are in reality our best brand ambassadors. We are constantly looking at ways to improve our customer experience journey when visiting any Caltex station, and both the Caltex JOURNEY Card loyalty programme and Swipe and Drive promotion are manifestations of this commitment,” said Chevron Malaysia Country Chairman, Shahid Ahmed.
He added, “The customers are our main priority. We believe in making the customers’ journey more enjoyable, be it in the form of products, services or making every visit to our Caltex stations a memorable one.”
There was plenty of excitement abuzz at the prize giving ceremony for both sets of category winners. For the January 15 – February 14 period, a total of 111 winners were announced with Mohd Hasif Idris, aged 36 from Selangor, winning the much-coveted Mazda 3 SkyActiv prize. Ten winners bagged home HTC One E8 smartphones worth RM1,699 each and the rest received the Caltex Star Cash worth RM200 each. For the 15 February – 14 March extended period, a total of 112 winners were announced with Ng Kok Wei, aged 24 from Kuala Lumpur, winning the grand prize of a brand new Mazda CX-5, followed by Bakhtiar Ahmad, from Penang who won the luxurious HTC One M8 24k gold clad smartphone. The remaining 10 and 100 winners received a HTC Desire EYE worth RM1,699, and Caltex Star Cash worth RM200, respectively.
Under the Swipe and Drive promotion, motorists with either the Caltex JOURNEY Card or BCARD just needed to spend a minimum of RM40 on petrol at any participating Caltex service station to be eligible to participate and stand a chance to win attractive prizes.

The Caltex JOURNEY Card Loyalty programme, a programme which aims to reward customers by adding value to petrol purchases at Caltex service stations as well as purchases at other BCARD partner outlets, was launched by Chevron Malaysia Limited in partnership with BLoyalty Sdn. Bhd. on January 15 last year. Currently there is approximately 620,000 members’ to-date.
Under this partnership, Caltex JOURNEY Card holders can also earn and redeem BPoints from more than 70 BCARD merchants at over 2,800 outlets nationwide, apart from purchases made at Caltex stations.
