Firefly Airlines, the 100% Malaysian airline proudly launched its latest range of cabin crew and ground operations staff uniform design at an exclusive event held at Zebra Square, today.

photo-07-10-2016-9-06-52-pmThe launch titled ‘Live The High Life with Firefly’ attended by 250 guests consisting of VIPs, partners & sponsors such as Universal Music Malaysia, EON AutoMart, SUB Beauty, IRDA, Firefly Holiday and Love 18 Firefly staff and media opened with a gambit and address by Chief Executive Officer of Firefly Airlines, Ignatius Ong.

“The fresh feel and look will be a boost for our cabin crew and ground operations staff to be more confident, comfortable and approachable when performing their duties to serve our passengers”, he said.

“The evolution of our uniform reflects how our airline has matured and progressed in the last 9 years”, added Ignatius.

This latest uniform design marks Firefly’s second uniform change since it was established in 2007. Its previous uniform changes took place in 2013 and the latest being this year. A 7-member committee, set up from within the ranks and headed by Ignatius himself, went through various options for patterns, material, texture and colours, among other things for the cabin crew and ground operations staff uniform before taking a final call on July 2016.

The exclusive event also saw the launch of Firefly’s official music video titled ‘Like Fireflies’ composed by Estranged Band, sang by Ning Baizura, Fazura and Taufik Batisah under the Universal Music Malaysia label.

“The music video which carries Firefly’s key elements such as togetherness, dreams, community, convenience, fun, lifestyle, business and holiday is close to our hearts as a Firefly family and is a dream come true for us”, said Ignatius.

Three lucky winners who flew with Firefly during the ‘Live The High Life with Firefly’ campaign were selected to be eligible to enjoy a 4 days and 3 nights’ exclusive holiday with Ning, Fazura and Taufik. Nurul Dafila Binti Nor Azlizan who will be flying to Johor Bahru, Rosliza Mohammad to Singapore and Chong June Ling to Langkawi with the respective celebrities were informed of their destinations as a surprise during the glamorous event.

“After 9 years, this campaign is a great refresher for the Firefly brand placing its image as a brand that is fun, approachable and full of style,” said the beaming CEO.

The ‘Live The High Life with Firefly’ campaign which kick-started early September provided the opportunity for their passengers and staff members to be a part of the 2-month long campaign as an appreciation for their continuous support and dedication.
