Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, 10 June 2026 – As Malaysia accelerates toward a digital-first future, Samsung Malaysia Electronics is reaffirming its contribution to national development through education by taking the next step with the introduction of AI-Powered Classroom by Samsung programme in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
Far beyond a standalone technology initiative, the classrooms reflect the company’s broader vision of democratising AI and digital access for all Malaysians, while strengthening the country’s readiness for an increasingly AI-driven future. Through pilot implementations at SMK Nilai Impian in Negeri Sembilan and SMKA Naim Lil Banat in Kelantan that are supported by SNS Network (M) Sdn Bhd, Samsung is transforming traditional classrooms into fully integrated AI-powered learning environments designed to encourage deeper engagement, collaborative learning and digital literacy among students.
What makes the AI-Powered Classroom especially meaningful is its truly holistic learning ecosystem. The classrooms are equipped not only with Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ devices for students, but also smartboards for teachers, tablet charging stations, air-conditioning systems and the supporting infrastructure necessary to create a comfortable and connected digital learning environment. The initiative represents a complete end-to-end classroom ecosystem of interconnected technologies rather than simply the provision of devices.
To support daily teaching and learning processes in the classrooms, Sasbadi Holdings Berhad, a leading education solutions provider in Malaysia, was invited by the Ministry of Education to be the Strategic Content Partner for the initiative. Sasbadi deployed its flagship AI-powered digital learning platform, Ace-it, which features comprehensive curriculum-aligned notes, exercises, interactive tools, and an AI-assistant that collectively lessen teachers’ workload and heighten classroom engagement. The Ace-it platform runs seamlessly on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ tablets and smartboards, creating an intuitive, fully connected ecosystem for both educators and students.
The programme also highlights Samsung’s unique strengths as a technology leader. Beyond hardware innovation, Samsung’s ecosystem enables seamless connectivity across devices and platforms, creating a more flexible and intuitive learning experience for both students and educators. Samsung’s commitment to six years of operating system and security updates also ensures that devices remain secure, relevant and usable for significantly longer periods, helping schools maximise long-term value while reducing concerns around device longevity and maintenance.
This latest initiative builds upon Samsung’s proven track record in supporting Malaysia’s digital education agenda. In 2022, Samsung played a key role in an education initiative by supplying Galaxy Tab A8 LTE devices to eligible university students from the B40 income group.[1] It is estimated that approximately 350,000 to 400,000 students nationwide would benefit from the initiative.[2]
“As an educator with more than 20 years of teaching experience, I have always believed that science should be hands-on, minds-on and hearts-on. One of the biggest challenges in teaching science is helping students truly visualise complex concepts and systems, something that traditional textbooks alone cannot always achieve. Through the AI-Powered Classroom and the Galaxy Tab, students are now able to experience lessons in a far more interactive and engaging way. More importantly, it has made learning more enjoyable for students by transforming what was once a purely textbook-based experience into something immersive, dynamic and meaningful,” said Farah Faizura Binti Ahmad Rostam, teacher at SMK Nilai Impian.
“As an educator with eight years of classroom experience, I’ve seen firsthand how the transition towards digitalisation is reshaping the learning experience in meaningful ways. The Galaxy Tab have been incredibly helpful in designing more engaging questions and delivering interactive lessons that encourage stronger two-way communication in the classroom, making students more involved and responsive during discussions. Having access to a wide range of digital tools also allows us to teach subjects in a more visual, immersive and comprehensive way, helping students better understand complex concepts, while the seamless ecosystem connectivity, especially with the digital whiteboard, creates a smoother and more effective teaching experience overall.” said Selvina A/P Sandiawo, teacher at SMK Nilai Impian
Since being introduced to these two schools, the AI-Powered Classroom has benefitted the education journey of many students, enhancing their understanding of their syllabuses through vital visual learning with the power of AI.
“I enjoy learning science subjects in the AI-Powered Classroom because AI helps make complex topics easier to understand and more engaging during lessons. Using the Galaxy Tab also makes it much easier to follow along in class, while reducing the need to carry heavy textbooks every day. With AI, we are able to explore answers on our own and better understand difficult concepts through personalised explanations that support the way we learn. It has also made note-taking more convenient and efficient, helping us stay more focused during class,” said Nurhani Sumayyah Binti Azmal, Form 3 student at SMK Nilai Impian.
“With the Galaxy Tab, lessons have become much more fun, engaging and interactive, making it easier for us to stay focused and understand what we are learning in class. It has also helped reduce the number of heavy textbooks we need to carry every day, making learning more convenient and accessible. The virtual and interactive features on the Tab are especially helpful for subjects like Mathematics and Science, as they allow us to better visualise complex concepts and understand topics that would normally feel difficult or confusing when learning through textbooks alone.” said Avinesh A/L Ramalingam, Form 3 student at SMK Nilai Impian.
“As Malaysia prepares for the future of AI and digital transformation, empowering students with access to technology and digital learning opportunities is essential in building a resilient and competitive nation,” said Charles Kim, President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics. “Samsung has continuously supported Malaysia’s education journey since 2022, from enabling access to devices through PerantiSiswa to now building fully integrated AI-Powered Classroom for students and educators. Through these efforts, we hope to inspire the next generation of Malaysians to learn, create and innovate with confidence.”
By investing consistently in education, infrastructure and long-term digital accessibility, Samsung continues to play an active role in helping shape a more inclusive, future-ready and innovation-driven Malaysia for generations to come.
