PUMA has revealed the new national kits for its eight partnered teams heading to Brasil this summer. The home and away kits for Italy, Switzerland, Algeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Chile and Uruguay were all released two weeks ago with each federation wearing their new strips today for their friendly games as they prepare for the FIFA World Cup.
All PUMA National Team shirts feature PUMA’s new football apparel innovation PWR ACTV, a first-to-market use of both athletic taping and compression within the apparel. The ACTV tape is strategically placed within the garment to provide micro-massages on the skin, working with the human body to help maximise performance and provide players with a faster, more effective energy supply to the active muscles. This combined with the underarm mesh inserts for increased breathability and freedom of movement, will help PUMA’s teams’ have a competitive advantage at this year’s World Cup.
Sebastien Thiney, Head of PLM Teamsport Apparel at PUMA explained. “The new PUMA PWR ACTV technology will support football player’s natural power and helps them optimise their performance. We have created a product that takes compression technology and next to skin athletic taping, combining and applying these to a performance product in an innovative way.”.
A full range of replica products including home and away shirts, shorts and a full merchandise collection for each team are available to purchase. The PUMA PWR ACTV football performance apparel collection featuring the same ACTV technology as the national playing kits is available to purchase now.
