This year, PETRONAS’ Deepavali campaign highlights interesting facets of the celebration that has woven itself into the tapestry of Malaysian tradition and culture.

The campaign comprises a specially produced three-minute web film titled “Our Deepavali”, a 60-second version of the film for a television commercial (TVC), and a series of webisodes on many aspects of the festival.

The web film follows Rani, a caretaker at a home for the elderly, as she prepares to return to her hometown for Deepavali.  Her journey, in the company of three elderly friends, is filled with interesting turns and lighthearted moments, making the journey itself a celebration of friendship, tolerance and understanding.
