Former ONE Championship women’s mixed martial arts star Ann “Athena” Osman appeared as a guest on NTV7’s latest talk show, The Feel Good Show, which aired Thursday at 10:30am.

The superstar athlete from Malaysia took the time out to demonstrate some self-defense techniques to the show’s host, as well as to Meiji, a fitness coach from Bangkok, Thailand who was on set to also give tips about health and wellness.

Osman, 32, spoke about the meaning of freedom for women, as well as current issues faced by women in today’s society, solutions to the issues, and women empowerment.

Osman has long been a proponent of women empowerment, her being a symbol of inspiration for young girls who idolized her during her athletic career. “Athena” was one of the very first female mixed martial arts stars in Asia, and Malaysia’s very first female professional mixed martial artist.

She competed in her last match on August 28, 2017, losing to Singapore’s May Ooi via rear naked choke submission. Shortly after, Osman retired from competition and took up an executive position in ONE Championship.
