(SUKAN) SpeedX is the Malaysian Champion in the SP2 Category of MCS 2021

SEPANG, 16 December 2021 – SpeedX Racing Team achieved the overall champion in the SP2 category of the prestigious Malaysia Championship Series 2021 (MCS) with a total of 86 points.

Helmed by first driver Eddie Lew and second driver William Ho, the team has won a total of two gold, one silver and two bronze in this season. Today’s 300-kilometer endurance race brought the season in to the resounding close where the team claimed second place with a lap time of 2:32:39.562 in the SP2 category.

Lew said, “Today was a very important race as the scores of the top few competitors were very close. It was a very exciting race and it was a close fight.” “Our crew kept us in-check and to ensure that we maintain the steady pace” added Ho.

Leong Chun Kok, owner of SpeedX, said, “SpeedX started of the season with a new team composition and it took a teething period to harmonize how we work. We had a steep learning curve and after 2 rounds and 4 races, we were ranked 4th. Results started to show in the round 3 when we won first place in both races.”

“Emerging as overall champion today, it shows our strategy works and we are ecstatic that we are able to close the year on a positive note. We hope to replicate the same success next year.” he added.
