A total of 60,000 visitors were recorded over two days of the 2024 International Automodified (IAM) and Malaysia Motor Expo (MME) that was held recently (8-9 June) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
The event also saw a lucky winner, Muhammad Syafiq Nurhakim, going home with a RM80,000 Honda N-Box which was put up as a lucky draw prize. Visitors and enthusiasts to this weekend’s IAM-MME 2024 were only required to buy a ticket to the show or spend a minimum of RM10 on any official IAM-MME 2024 merchandise.
“Being drawn as a winner was truly a surprise to me. I am not even a car fan, I don’t even have a driver’s license and in fact I had purchased the RM30 entry ticket to attend the show for the sole purpose of watching one of the invited rock bands perform,” said the young man from Kuala Lumpur. “Needless to say I was shocked when I received a phone call at 10.30pm declaring me as the winner.”
The two-day show paid tribute to 300 of Malaysia’s best modified cars, and presented awards to the best-tuned cars in 100 individual categories including bestowing the honor of King of IAM KL. This year’s King of IAM KL went to an extremely tastefully modified yellow Daihatsu Copen. Built by Nurr Motors, the 660cc roadster was fully-fitted with an NRS body kit with HKS adjustable Hipermax suspension and Volk Racing wheels.
